About Michael

I'm currently a master's student based in Newcastle Upon Tyne and I have been producing in FL Studio for the last 7 years and have been teaching since 2019 as a freelance producer helping people reach their production goals. It gave me great satisfaction helping people reach their production goals and seeing them succeed!

I listen to and produce a wide variety of music genres including:
- Bass House
- Future Bass
- Trap
- Melodic Dubstep
- Future Garage
- Acoustic EDM
- Pop

Having a background in production allows me to use music to explore new textures and emotions as I believe music is an essential tool to both express and validate emotions.

About the lesson

Hey! There's no better way to improve your production than getting hands-on with a project from start to finish whether it is one we create or one of your existing projects making sure there is no time wasted going over what you already know!

I teach the following concepts anywhere from beginner to advanced.

- Music Production
- Mixing (approach and creative techniques)
- Midi Programming
- Sound Design and Selection
- Arrangement
- Mastering
- Mixer Effects

I can help you design your own sounds using synthesis using a wide variety of VSTs (Serum, Vital, Sylenth, Massive) and how to layer them to create a deep professional sound. In addition to this help you to master Dynamic effects like compression and EQ and many more creative effects and to use them dynamically to create a wide soundscape. These skills are essential for mastering your music skills and bringing your ideas to life.

I have been producing in FL Studio for the past 7 years and have taught a variety of students in a wide variety of genres with a wide range of skill levels. I have helped students get their tracks signed to record labels and signed as artists.

My lessons are very flexible, whether you are looking for a structured syllabus to follow and track progress or using the lessons for free-form advice on one of your own projects I'm happy to accommodate. I want to help you get the best out of your production journey any way you see fit!
