About Victoria
I earned my PhD in Physical and Theoretical Chemistry from the University of Oxford in 2018, prior to which I graduated top of my class with a 1st Class MSci in Chemistry from Imperial College London. After completing my degrees I have worked in research at several internationally recognised universities/institutions, as well as most recently working for a charity supporting under-resourced secondary school students in the London area to access top universities through both mentoring and one-to-one tuition.
Education is my passion!
During my PhD and research career I gained large amounts of experience working with students from KS2 all the way up to those studying for their postgraduate degree. After returning to the UK from a research post in Germany, I began tutoring professionally in 2021 in response to the variability in the teaching hours that students received during the COVID pandemic; allowing me to support students to reach their goals in their GCSE and A-level exams despite the disruptions they experienced at school. Since then I have continued to support students to achieve their goals in Science and Maths. I am now looking to expand my teaching knowledge and experience to those students looking towards their secondary education and sitting their Eleven Plus exams.
I have an enhanced DBS check, last updated in January 2025.

I aim to provide engaging and interactive tutorials (typically from 30 minutes to 1 hour in length) for students starting in Year 4 or Year 5 preparing for their Eleven Plus assessment. Due to my background in Science, I am particularly suited to those students who wish to work on the Non-verbal reasoning and Maths components of the assessment. I work with my students and their parents to ensure that tutorials are personalised to their learning style and their strengths and weaknesses. I also have experience mentoring young people from a variety of backgrounds and with different educational needs and bring this to my tutorials where relevant.
I have 3+ years of experience working with students working towards their GCSE and A-level exams and am now looking to expand my knowledge to the Eleven Plus assessment (with my rates reflecting that I am new to this area of work). I am familiar with the grammar school system in Buckinghamshire (Secondary Transfer Testing) and Hertfordshire who use tests from GL Assessment; however I ensure that I am familiar with the process for the Eleven Plus admissions tests in any area for which I tutor students.
All of my online sessions take place using Bramble or Google Classroom. For in-person sessions I provide all paper-based resources.
