About Imalya
I am a 19 year old student who recently achieved A*s in A level Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. In Year 13, I took part in the UK Chemistry Olympiad and the Senior Maths Challenge, achieving Gold awards in both. I also achieved straight As in my GCSEs in 2024.
As a recent A-level student, I know what exam boards expect from students aiming for top grades, and I know how much of a struggle it can be to achieve these grades.
I have always enjoyed helping my friends, classmates and siblings with their lessons. In Year 13, I volunteered to tutor several Year 12 students in Chemistry and Maths, and received very positive feedback.
My main aim is to make lessons interesting and rewarding, in order to instil a love of STEM in each of my students.

I have a conversational teaching style, and my lessons consist of a mixture of real-time explanations, problem solving and practice questions ranging from easy to challenging.
My goal is to help students to apply their knowledge to any scenario in an exam, regardless of context, so I also provide plenty of past exam questions and advice on revision, exam techniques, timing and working under pressure.
Sessions are typically 60 to 90 minutes long, but I am happy to adjust this based on each student's needs.
I tailor each lesson to suit individual learning styles, and I am very good at breaking down complex topics into manageable sections. I am ready and willing to help with homework, test preparation and general revision. My lessons are perfect for GCSE and A level students looking to improve their confidence, grades or exam techniques.
