About Mason
I am studying dental surgery at Cardiff University, having graduated with a full set of A* A-levels. My teaching experience spans two years through my work as a student tutor at my secondary school and sixth form, tutoring fellow students in Biology and Chemistry.
Additionally I have participated in several medical interview and personal statement courses and will happily offer interview coaching and personal statement proofreading and advice. Please enquire for further details.

My teaching method is adaptable to the difficulty of the content and ability of the learner. It can be summarised in three steps:
> Explain the content from a real world perspective
> Test your understanding using exam style questions
> Consolidate your knowledge by teaching it back to me
This is based on the surgical 'See one, Do one, Teach one' learning method, with sessions being an hour long

During the first lockdown, I found remote learning to be very difficult. Mason helped me get on top of my Chemistry A Level and bring my grade up from a D to a B. His teaching style is thoughtful and I always felt comfortable learning with him.
I went to sixth form with Mason. There were a few topics in both Biology and Chemistry that I was struggling with, especially the maths sections of the course. Mason offered to sit down and help me understand them.
All I can say is, he was fantastic. With a friendly and engaging manner, he showed me exactly what I needed to know and how to remember it in a way that was tailored to my learning style. As maths is such an important part of the course, he helped me achieve 3 A*s, ensuring my place at medical school.
