About Olatomiwa
My name is Olatomiwa Akindele, and I'm going to be your biology tutor!
I've always been fascinated by how living things work especially how a tiny cell you can't even see with your eyes knows exactly what to do to keep you alive, or how your bones, muscles, and organs all work together like a perfectly organized team. Biology used to feel like magic to me when I was your age, and honestly? It still kind of does.
I decided to become a tutor because I remember what it felt like to be confused by a subject and think "I'm just not good at this." But the truth is, nobody is bad at biology but sometimes we just need someone to explain it in a way that clicks for us, not just the way it's written in a textbook.
That's my job. I'm not here to make you memorize a bunch of facts. I'm here to help you actually understand how your own body works, how life works, and maybe even help you fall a little bit in love with science along the way even if that sounds impossible right now!
I am excited to bring my enthusiasm and expertise to a new learning community and am confident that my skills and experience make me an excellent fit for this role.

Biology isn't a subject you memorize. I believe it's a subject that needs to be understood. That's the core of how I teach, whether we're tracing the structure of a cell or mapping how a system in the human body works together.
I don't use a one-size-fits-all curriculum. Before we start, I take time to understand how you learn, whether you grasp concepts better through diagrams, real-world analogies, hands-on practice problems, or working backward from exam questions. From there, I build a plan around your specific goals: acing an exam, filling gaps from class, preparing for a placement test, or simply finally understanding a subject that's felt overwhelming.
