So many students struggle because they find math intimidating. I work on breaking down barriers and eliminating that feeling of intimidation.
Math is simply another language, the language of numbers.
I meet students where they are by using a variety of teaching techniques. Whether students are visual, auditory, kinesthetic, or reading and writing learners, I teach using a combination of styles to ensure students feel comfortable and therefore capable.
My expertise is in elementary math up to Algebra. I also specialize in working with IEP students who require specific accommodations as well as TAG (talented and gifted) students.
