My professional background is anchored in the performing arts, a passion that was nurtured from a young age in my musically inclined household. With a warm and easy-going personality, I am enthusiastic about life. Having established myself as a professional musician at a young age, I discovered my love for teaching. I now consider myself as a leader and a mentor to my current students.
With a wealth of experience as a drum mentor in various music schools across Dublin Ireland, I have consistently inspired, motivated, and encouraged people. I am eager to bring this same passion and dedication to you.
My teaching philosophy is that within music we learn a language that can be used as an outlet to make sense of our lives. Mentoring people on their musical journey by giving them the skills to understand the importance of rhythm in music and life. Flow is paramount in my lessons, the drums become a primal feeling and boost the mood of anyone that comes through the door.
I am passionate about making learning experiences creative, diverse, inclusive, and
I hold a 2:1 BA degree in Media Production Management, an HND in Music Management, Event Organization, and another HND in Contemporary Music Performance.

Perfect! Sam has been absolutely brilliant with Chloe. He is incredibly patient, encouraging and has a lovely way of making the lessons fun while still helping her progress and build confidence. Chloe always looks forward to seeing him and comes out of every lesson excited about what she has learned.
He explains things in a way that is easy for her to understand and creates such a relaxed, positive atmosphere. We couldn’t be happier with him and would highly recommend Sam to anyone looking for a kind, talented and inspiring drum teacher.- Chloe is a brilliant student, very funny and enthusiastic about learning. I’ve been teaching Chloe for a while now and it’s been great to see her progression. We mainly focus on patterns and beats. Our goal is apply these two together and put them into a song. Perfect! Harrison had a fantastic first lesson with Sam. Sam had a very encouraging and engaging personality and he made Harrison feel very comfortable from the outset. It was a fun and relaxed lesson and Harrison was really looking forward to his next session the minute it finished.. Sam has the perfect personality and way of teaching that makes it fun and informative, I would highly recommend
- Harrison got on great in our first lesson. He was very easy to understand patterns, we played a two part harmony and Harrison was able to keep in time and keep up a consistent tempo. Learning beats was a bit more complex so we’ll gradually introduce that by using all the limbs as time goes by. It’s important for him to get into a flow of playing then introduce different methods that are fun but also a challenge! Nice to meet you guys, see you at the next lesson.Sam's response :

I took part in a drum camp with Sam and had a really great experience. Sam is extremely friendly, approachable, and passionate about drumming, which makes learning with him really enjoyable.
He has a great way of explaining things and uses cool, memorable techniques that make it much easier to remember what you’ve learned. He creates a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere, so you never feel afraid to ask questions or make mistakes.
You can really see how passionate Sam is about teaching and helping others improve. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to learn drums or improve their skills!As a complete beginner Sam was brilliant as a drum teacher. He was patient, gave clear instructions and was really encouraging to me. His lessons were fun and well planned and gave me the confidence to continue learning at my own pace. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to get into drums!
Sam is an amazing person, a great musician, and extremely patient. He gave my son lessons, and he thrived as a result. Because Sam is also an SNA, he is great with children who have different needs. I'd highly recommend him as a teacher.
