About Catriona
I’m a university student with a strong academic background in Maths, having achieved a Grade 9 at GCSE, A* (96%) at A-Level and an A in Further Mathematics. I’ve been tutoring for two years and really enjoy helping students reach the point where something that once felt impossible finally clicks. I aim to make Maths feel less intimidating while building both confidence and exam skills.
I focus on teaching exam technique as well as 'just' maths, as I believe strong technique in exam settings is what really differentiates the top grades from each other, and is an often overlooked way of making exams much easier!

I tailor every lesson to each student and focus on making Maths clear and manageable. We’ll identify any “danger” topics, strengthen the basics, and then work through exam-style questions together. I place a strong focus on exam technique, recognising common question types, and understanding why methods work, helping students become more confident when tackling unfamiliar questions.
I have two years of experience tutoring Maths to ages from 12-16. A typical lesson will usually run for 50 minutes to 1 hour.
