About Lea

As a dedicated educator with over a decade of experience across various educational levels, I bring both passion and professionalism to every tutoring session. I hold a Ph.D., a master's and am currently pursuing a second Master’s in Education at Hunter College, further deepening my commitment to teaching and learning. I’ve worked in both public and private school settings, teaching subjects such as Spanish, French, English, and History. My approach is student-centered, patient, and supportive — designed to help each learner grow with confidence. Bilingual in Spanish and English, I also have experience as a translator and interpreter, which allows me to support language learners with clarity and empathy. You can expect a respectful, structured, and engaging learning environment that values your goals and helps you achieve them. I look forward to working with you and helping you succeed.

About the lesson

As a tutor, I tailor my teaching approach to each student's needs, blending structured lesson plans with creative, student-centered techniques. I prioritize clear explanations, real-world applications, and interactive methods that engage learners and encourage critical thinking. A typical lesson begins with a short review, followed by guided instruction, practice activities, and reflection. My background in education at all levels — from elementary to college — allows me to adapt to various learning styles and academic goals. I work with students of all ages, from beginners to advanced learners, including those preparing for exams or seeking to strengthen specific skills. What sets me apart is my passion for teaching, my ability to create a supportive learning environment, and my bilingual fluency in Spanish and English, which helps bridge gaps for language learners. I aim to make each lesson not only educational but also inspiring and confidence-building.
