• When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

  As an English tutor with more than 5 years of experience in the UK and Canada, I developed a profound interest in the English language during my roles as Specialist Educator and Specialist Study Skills Tutor. My fascination was initially sparked by working with children at mainstream schools in Cardiff, UK. This experience has helped me to build a passion for the English language and its power to convey complex emotions and creative ideas. • What makes you passionate about your subject?

  Through practice and professional development, I became captivated by the evolution of English, its diverse dialects across the UK, and its global influence. The more I learned, the more I realized that English was not just a subject of study, but a living, breathing entity that shapes our perceptions and connects cultures worldwide. This realization solidified my desire to pursue a career in education, where I could share my knowledge and help others unlock the beauty and utility of the English language.

• What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

  As a super tutor with extensive experience and numerous positive feedback from my lovely students, I find numerous aspects of tutoring deeply rewarding and fulfilling. Here's what I particularly enjoy about my role:

This has helped me to build skills at adapting my teaching strategies according to each student's capabilities and needs. I was also praised by my fellow teachers and team leaders for my ability to quickly establish a caseload of regular students and build productive relationships with students and academic staff.
