About Amelia
I am a study table leader and a TA for precalculus/trigonometry at Oregon State University and love math, both learning it and teaching it. I have two years of experience helping over 350 different students with learning. I am in Boulder County for the summer and am looking to continue to help students learn math!

A typical lesson plan includes review materials from previous lessons as a warm up then a discussion about the material covered in the current study session followed by practice problems that get progressively more difficult. Techniques include guiding the learner in the correct direction instead of directly telling them an answer to build confidence and a stronger understanding of the material, tailoring the difficulty level of the practice problems so that they're challenging but not overwhelming, and having discussions with the learner their approach to practice problems to ensure they're on the right track.
