About C Dean
As a Georgia Tech Electrical Engineering graduate, I bring both technical expertise and a deep passion for helping others learn. Over my career, I’ve helped more than 60 students earn their GED through patient, engaging, and adaptable instruction. I’ve also guided high school and college students in mastering challenging math concepts and building the confidence to succeed in their courses. My philosophy is simple: if a student isn’t understanding, that’s on me—I adjust my approach until the concept truly makes sense. I believe learning should be clear, confidence-building, and even fun. My goal is to turn frustration into progress and help every student realize their full potential.

My Tutoring Approach As a tutor with an Electrical Engineering degree from Georgia Tech, I believe learning should be practical, personal, and empowering. My approach focuses on helping students truly understand concepts — not just memorize them — so they can think critically and apply their knowledge with confidence. Teaching Method & Techniques I use a mix of guided problem-solving, real-world examples, and adaptive questioning to make complex ideas simple and relatable. I tailor each session to the student’s learning style, whether they benefit from visual explanations, step-by-step walkthroughs, or hands-on practice. My lessons emphasize building a strong foundation before moving to advanced topics, ensuring lasting comprehension. A Typical Lesson Plan Each session begins with a quick review of previous material to reinforce retention. Next, we focus on new concepts using clear demonstrations and interactive exercises. I include short practice problems to check understanding in real time, then end each lesson with a brief recap and a personalized plan for what to study or practice next. What Sets Me Apart Over the past three years, I’ve helped more than 60 people successfully earn their GED, many of whom started with little confidence in math or science. I have tutored college students with college algebra and calculus. My engineering background allows me to explain abstract ideas in practical, real-world terms — turning “I don’t get it” into “Oh, that makes sense!” I bring patience, structure, and genuine encouragement to every session.
