About Kheiry
I have always enjoyed math and understanding how different concepts connect, which is what led me to study engineering at UC San Diego and work as a lead instructor at Mathnasium. I especially enjoy helping students who learn differently than the standard approach, because I understand that everyone processes information in their own way. I often use visuals, patterns, acronyms, or creative explanations to make concepts easier to remember, and I work well with students who need a more patient and flexible teaching style.
I am very patient, friendly, and encouraging, and I believe trust between the student and instructor is important for learning. I try as many different methods as needed until something clicks, and I want students to feel comfortable asking questions without feeling intimidated. My goal is to help students understand the material clearly while building confidence in their own abilities.

I have experience teaching math to students K-12, including my work as a math instructor at Mathnasium. My teaching style focuses on adapting to each student's learning style, because I believe math makes the most sense when it is explained in a way that fits how the student thinks. I like to get to know how each student learns first, so I can adjust my explanations and help them build confidence step by step. I can help with a wide range of levels, from younger students working on numerical fluency such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and fractions, all the way up to algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus.
A typical lesson starts with explaining and breaking down the concept clearly, then working through examples together before the student tries problems on their own. Once they are comfortable, we go through more challenging examples together to make sure the concept is fully understood. If the student is able to explain the idea back to me in their own words, I know they are ready to move forward. My goal is to make math less stressful, improve understanding, and help students feel more confident in their abilities.
