About Louie
I am a recent graduate of Engineering Mathematics from the University of Bristol. I have 6 months of maths tutoring experience, teaching 4 students for 2 hours each per week. One of the students had autism, which was a big challenge, but very rewarding. I became a much more patient teacher, and more understanding of how different people learn. All 4 students did excellently in their exams, with the one who had struggled the most initially coming top of her class!

My teaching method involves a lot of practice questions. I do think discussion is important, as it can allow a deeper understanding of the topic, and how it connects to other topics they have learnt. However, I believe that doing many examples is the best way to truly ingrain the information in the mind. If a student is struggling with a topic, I am good at framing it in a different way to make it easier. If they simply need more practice, I can quickly generate new questions that we can then do together
