About Sebastian
I am motivated to start tutoring because I believe in the transformative power of education. As a bilingual (English and Spanish) student, I bring a unique cultural perspective and dedication to my tutoring sessions. I attended South Miami High School, where I earned the AICE Cambridge diploma and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Currently, I am a rising sophomore majoring in Computer Science at the University of Florida.
This summer, I will be an undergraduate leader for the Goldberg Gator Engineering Explorers Summer Program 2024, where I will mentor two programs: beginner-friendly coding camps for middle schoolers and AI (Python) for high school students.
I moved to the US in 2019 from Peru with little knowledge of English and the American education system. Through perseverance and dedication, I achieved my dream of attending UF on a full-ride scholarship. My journey and experiences can inspire and motivate my students. Despite my age, I am well-versed in these topics, and I am confident I can help you achieve your goals. My lessons aim to create a stress-free, non-judgmental environment where students can thrive.

My teaching method focuses on understanding each student’s unique learning style and adapting lessons to meet their needs. A typical lesson plan includes a brief review of previous material, introduction of new concepts, interactive problem-solving, and time for questions and clarification.
What sets me apart is my ability to break down complex mathematical concepts into easy-to-understand steps and my commitment to creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
