About Nicole
Hello! My name is Nicole and I am a second-year Chemical Engineering student. I am passionate about connecting with others through teaching and I love to help them with things that I once struggled with as well. I am proficient in mathematics, most specifically algebra, precalculus and calculus, and arithmetic. I also enjoy teaching Chemistry! (trust me, once you start to understand it better, it is just so amazing!) I work best with middle school and high school students.

I find it very important to have an understanding of what my students already know and what we can work towards improving in the future. When tackling their work, I seek to keep them engaged every step of the way by modeling how to approach certain problems and seeing how they use what they learned to go onto the next one. To keep things interesting, I try to sprinkle in references to their interests, allowing their work to be relatable and enjoyable. This is best achieved when my students are within the middle school to high school demographic.

I would have never passed general Chemistry without Nicole's help! She is gifted in explaining complex topics in a simple way, better than my professor ever could. She is also patiently dedicated and won't stop until you're sure you understand the topic. Because of Nicole, I can balance acid and base reactions like I'm reciting my ABC's.
