About Shani
I am a French engineering student currently on a gap year. I chose to come to New Zealand as I am part Kiwi (from my father). After graduating top of my class after high school, I entered Lakanal where I intensely studied math, physics and chemistry. This two-year program allowed me to succeed at a national entrance exam for the top engineering schools. I then entered ESPCI Paris - PSL. I tutored a high school student this past year, which I truly enjoyed. I am passionate about science and would love to pass on my knowledge to help students improve in class, perhaps even creating or nurturing a love for science in them.

I am convinced every student has it in them to be good at science classes, it is simply a matter of teaching methods. I am patient and determined to find the best studying method for every student. Science classes always came easy for me throughout high school but I was challenged upon entering a highly selective and intense French program known as CPGE. I therefore understand what it is like to struggle in class, and am sure I will be able to help every student improve, like I did. I will prepare each lesson by reading up on the subject matter, specifically to know precisely what is asked of students in the New Zealand curriculum, and preparing exercises for the student if needed. I have experience teaching a high school student.
