About Melissa
I am a passionate and dedicated educator with a background in Psychology and a strong focus on supporting children’s emotional and academic development. I hold an Honors degree in Psychology as well as a PGCE, and I have experience working with children aged 4 to 16 in both school and online environments.
Over the past few years, I have taught English online to both children and adults, creating engaging and interactive lessons that include speaking, reading, writing, and creative activities. My teaching style is supportive and encouraging, helping students build confidence while developing their language skills.
In addition to teaching, I have experience in school counseling and pastoral care, where I worked closely with children, parents, and teachers to support emotional well-being. This allows me to bring a compassionate, holistic approach into my classroom, understanding that learning is closely connected to how a child feels.
I am especially passionate about teaching English Literature, where I encourage students to explore meaning, think critically, and read between the lines. My goal is to create a safe, engaging learning environment where students feel confident to express themselves, ask questions, and grow both academically and personally.
