Hi! I'm Mikhaila, a certified English teacher from Cape Town, South Africa — a native English speaker fluent in Afrikaans.
I'm Level 5 TEFL Certified (180hr) and I teach both Young Learners and adults. My classes are fun, patient, and full of real conversation — lots of games, stories and songs for kids, and practical, confident
Hello, future students! I'm Teacher Mikhaila from beautiful Cape Town.
I became a teacher because I genuinely love working with people. Before teaching, I worked in hospitality where I learnt patience, empathy, and how to really listen — skills I bring into every lesson.
I now teach English to Young Learners (5-17) and adults (A1-C2). For my younger students, I use phonics, TPR, games and stories so learning feels like play. For my adult students, we focus on conversational English, pronunciation, grammar and Business English — always with lots of talking time for YOU.
Why do I love teaching? Because every student is different. I love creating a safe, encouraging space where you can make mistakes, laugh, and grow without pressure. Seeing your confidence grow is the best part of my job.
