About Sanele
This question is extremely likely to come up in a teaching interview. In any setting, an interviewer wants to find out whether you have actual interest in the industry, or are simply looking for any work. This question is a great opportunity to sell yourself and play up your skills. If you have a story that inspired you to want to be a teacher, or a student that you helped in an important way, now is a great time to tell the interviewer.
“I want to teach because I have a genuine passion for education and a strong desire to make a positive impact on students’ lives. Teaching provides me with the opportunity to inspire and empower young minds, helping them develop their knowledge, skills, and confidence. For example, I found it extremely rewarding in my work experience when my teaching was able to encourage a student to achieve their goals, learning to read at an advanced level with my assistance. I find great joy in witnessing students’ growth and seeing them achieve their full potential.”

As a teacher, my methodology is based on the belief that every student has unique learning needs and styles. I strive to create a personalized learning experience for each student, integrating a variety of teaching methods such as visual aids, games, and real-life scenarios to make learning engaging and effective.
One thing that sets me apart as a teacher is my ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment. I focus on building strong relationships with my students, fostering a sense of trust and open communication. This allows me to better understand their individual needs and create lesson plans that cater to their specific goals.
My lessons are aimed at students of all levels, from beginners to advanced learners. I am experienced in adapting my teaching approach to meet the specific needs of each student, whether they are preparing for exams, seeking to improve their conversational skills, or aiming to gain fluency in the language.
