About Kristina
I currently teach one-on-one lessons. I have experience teaching 11+ style English focusing on improving comprehension, SPAG, and writing. I also have experience teaching KS3 English Language and Literature focusing on comprehension, language analysis, and broadening vocabulary. Week-on-week students use knowledge gained to successfully answer increasingly difficult questions.
I completed the 11+ exam myself and then achieved A*s at GCSE in English Language and English Literature. As a result, I have a good understanding of what is expected of KS2 + KS3 students both in exams, and also on a more personal level to help build confidence and enthusiasm.

I tailor each lesson to the student's specific needs and am always sure to create materials that suit students' interests too so that they feel engaged. I keep my lessons student-centred and allow for lots of discussion where we can unpack areas of difficulty and students feel comfortable (and encouraged!) to ask lots of questions.
I work to build a good rapport with students and make sure they can see and drive their own progress.
