About Grace
Hi! Since 2011, I have taught in the U.S., Spain, England, and China. Teaching is a passion of mine, but I've also coached sports for over 10 years.
I am thrilled to share my expertise in literacy and math with all my students. Being a spirited leader in direct instruction and problem solving, I am equipped to provide a high level of support and patience for my students. I look forward to helping them along their academic journeys!
Fun fact: In May 2025, my husband and I welcomed a baby girl into our family unit. What a joy she is!

1. My teaching methods are simple, show patience, have fun, and allow my student to gain a "takeaway" of knowledge.
2. Opener: My lesson starts with a warm-up icebreaker/brain teaser to understand my student better and lighten the mood. I will also present a trivia question that I plan to reveal at the end of the lesson. Over time, I will base this on my student's interest or content. I love trivia!
3. Skill Breakdown: This is where I will break down the skill being taught with a method called, I-do, we-do, you-do. This promotes modeling and independence.
4. Let the games begin!: Next, we will play a game based on the content. I enjoy using Blooket and Quizizz. My goal is to keep my student engaged 100% of the time with games that review material and challenge the material I have presented.
5. Questions/Summary: Overview of lesson, opportunity for questions, and a key takeaway depending on content.
