About Sam

Hello! I'm an enthusiastic primary school teacher with five years of experience working with a range of age groups in an outstanding rated school. Based in Richmond, I specialise in teaching maths to primary school children, fostering high expectations through a strong and fun learning relationship with my students. My approach is centred on creating an engaging and supportive environment where students can thrive. I focus on individual learning needs, tailoring my lessons to help each child build confidence and achieve their academic goals. Through my tutoring, I aim to increase your child's confidence and readiness for the next year in class. Due to my wealth of experience, I design bespoke teaching plans for each student, ensuring that their unique learning style and needs are met. This personalised approach helps to maximise their understanding and enjoyment of the subject. With a commitment to professionalism and reliability, I strive to motivate and inspire my students, making learning a positive and rewarding experience. Let's work together to help your child succeed and further develop their love for learning.

About the lesson

During my sessions, I first seek to understand the specific areas of maths that require focus and support, ascertaining our starting point as well as the student's preferred learning style. I can then tailor each session to the student's individual needs and educational goals, ensuring maximum engagement and efficient use of our time together. As a passionate and experienced teacher, I leverage my extensive background in various academic settings to provide high-quality instruction. My up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum and a range of assessment techniques allows me to adapt my teaching strategies to benefit each student effectively. I prepare varied and targeted learning resources for each lesson, emphasising concepts and skills that align with the student's unique learning style. This personalised approach fosters a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts and enhances the student's confidence and performance in the subject. My enthusiasm for mathematics and dedication to teaching drive me to deliver exceptional education to all my students. With my expertise and passion for the subject, I am committed to providing first-class mathematics instruction that inspires and empowers my students to excel.

Sam was recommended to me by a family member. His is a "cool" teacher and that really helps my son when he in a mood that says, "Maths isn't important!" Sam is able to engage him in a way that he rarely get from classroom teaching and has helped him to see that maths is something he is actually good at :)
Thankyou, Sam!
