About Stephanie
I love to see my students grow their confidence in math. Math can be a very hard subject but each student is able to grow their skills. When students take the time to be patient with themselves and to not give up, that is when they grow their math skills. I have taught students who hate math and have no confidence in math to the point that they don't even try. When I give the student confidence to try the skill and practice it with them they understand and they feel confident. I have taught students who have grown a grade level in their school's testing in just three months.

I begin each lesson by reviewing past concepts that are needed for the lesson. A student cannot learn a new concept with out understanding the basic of the concept. In math, all concepts grow into a more complex problem. I have students explain how they solved the problem and why they solved it to make sure the students has full understanding.
