I am an experienced, friendly , qualified piano teacher with a love of playing the piano that i want to share with all! I am not a regular piano teacher! I try to adapt my methods to fit the individual and inspire the pupil! I teach a variety of styles, chords, improvisation, notation etc. Gradings are taught but are not compulsory for everyone. Since completing my training in Music at University (BA Hons) and training as a secondary music teacher (PGCE), I have worked in schools (both secondary and primary) as a classroom teacher and instrumental teacher for the last 20+ years. I have taken hundreds of pupils successfully through gradings over the years but also teach for fun as well; both adults and children alike. I have lots of experience teaching children with additional needs especially as a mother of an autistic child. I am friendly and professional and try to foster a love of playing piano front and foremost as a basis for lessons (alongside notation, theory etc). Lessons are available ages 6+.
