About Amy
I have six years of experience teaching children aged 5 to 9 years old, and I am highly competent in delivering the British KS1 and KS2 curriculum. While teaching in Dubai, I held the position of Year 4 Lead, where I gained extensive experience in curriculum planning, assessment, and managing a team of teachers. My teaching approach is entirely student-focused, tailored to how each individual perceives and processes knowledge. I am an experienced teacher with six years of working in both KS1 and KS2, and I am passionate about helping children develop strong mathematical skills through engaging and effective teaching methods. I am highly skilled in delivering Mathematics lessons that focus on fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving, providing tailored support to meet each child’s unique learning needs. Throughout my career, I have taught a range of Maths schemes, including White Rose and Power Maths. This experience has given me a deep understanding of different approaches and strategies, allowing me to adapt my teaching to suit various learning styles and curriculum needs. I believe that every child can succeed with the right tools, strategies, and guidance. My lessons are highly interactive and structured, incorporating guided practice, targeted skill development, and enjoyable activities to build confidence and mastery.
