I am an experienced elementary school teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience and a passion for helping students grow in confidence and ability. I enjoy making learning positive, supportive, and engaging for every student. I specialize in helping children strengthen their math skills through patience, encouragement, and individualized instruction. My approach as a tutor is patient, encouraging, and personalized to each student’s learning style and needs. As an elementary teacher with over 20 years of experience, I understand that every child learns differently, and I work to make math clear, approachable, and confidence-building.
I break concepts down step-by-step, use real-life examples, guided practice, and positive reinforcement to help students feel successful. A typical lesson includes reviewing previous skills, introducing or practicing a concept, working through examples together, and allowing students to practice independently with support as needed.
What sets me apart is my classroom experience and ability to connect with students who may feel frustrated or anxious about math. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
My lessons are ideal for elementary and middle school students who need homework help, extra practice, skill building, or support gaining confidence in math.
