About Mary
I am a multilingual South African with English as my native language. My qualifications include a TEFL Certificate, a BA Degree with English as a subject, and a Masters's Degree in French. I also speak Italian and Afrikaans. As a teacher I am flexible and adaptable, tailoring my classes to the individual needs of the student, be this free talk, grammar revision, reading, or topic-related. My best qualities are enthusiasm, punctuality, patience, honesty, diligence, clarity, efficiency, and confidence. During my career, I held different roles in various sectors including academia, human resources, retail, hospitality, and public service. Furthermore, my linguistic experience extends to conducting research, writing, proofreading, and editing.
I travelled widely with my husband during his diplomatic career, visiting places such as Mexico, Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, and Vietnam to name a few. This enriched my life and taught me that you should never stop learning because life never stops teaching you.
