Hi! I’m Thilanka, and I’m excited to help you take your first steps into the world of programming. I have over 7 years of industry experience as a Frontend Developer, building web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and modern frameworks like React and Next.js. Even though I’m new to tutoring, my goal is to make learning programming approachable and enjoyable for beginners. I know how confusing it can be at the start, so I focus on explaining concepts clearly, using simple examples, and giving you plenty of opportunities to practice. My lessons are student-friendly, patient, and paced to suit your comfort level, so you don’t feel rushed or overwhelmed. As a tutor, my goal is to create a supportive and interactive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new concepts. I focus on building a solid foundation first, using simple, clear explanations and plenty of real-world examples from my industry experience as a Frontend Developer. My lessons are practical, hands-on, and tailored to each student’s pace and learning style.
Typically, my lessons run for 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student’s needs and topic complexity. Each session includes concept explanation, coding demonstrations, and practical exercises, followed by Q&A and review to reinforce learning.
My lessons are ideal for:
- High school and university students starting out with coding
- Career changers preparing for entry-level developer roles
- Beginner to intermediate learners who want to strengthen their web development and database skills
