I approach english classes with high standards but equally high levels of support. My methodology is to introduce challenging, stretching topics to the student, then helping them to understand and reinforce these in their long-term memory. I am extremely supportive, I do not shout or punish for wrong answers, and instead support the student at a steady pace until they are fully able to grasp concepts or theories.
