About the lesson

As an experienced Maths and Computer Science tutor, I provide personalised, engaging lessons tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on building problem-solving skills, boosting confidence, and improving exam techniques to help students excel in GCSE, A-Level, and pre-GCSE studies. Teaching Approach: I break down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps, using real-world examples and interactive problem-solving. Whether it's exam preparation, coursework support, or foundational understanding, I ensure students grasp key concepts deeply. Lesson Structure: My typical lessons last 60 minutes, but I offer extended sessions for intensive exam preparation. Each lesson includes a quick review of past material, concept explanations, guided practice, and exam-style questions. Experience & Qualifications: With a strong academic background in Maths and Computer Science, I have helped students across various exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC) improve their grades and confidence. Who I Teach: I tutor students aged 11–18, covering Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level. Whether you’re struggling with algebra, programming, or exam strategies, I tailor each lesson to suit your pace and learning style. Let’s work together to unlock your potential and achieve success!

Been studying for my Gmat exam. I've had a number of challenges specifically with the maths. Algebra, Domains, complex fractions. Learning on my own has been hard, especially heading towards my 30s, but getting a Lesson from Johnny here has thoroughly improved my understanding. My confidence has grown and my ability to complete these challenges feels significantly more reasonable now.

His teaching space is warm, his patience with parts I struggled in was greatly appreciated. His ability to respond to what I needed and adapt to my understanding sometimes being backwards was phenomenal.

10/10 teacher.

Have known John for a long while and he's helped me with stuff constantly, most recently helped me going over calculating probabilities as I'd been struggling with it! He took his time with me and was really patient and sat and went through each bit just step by step and it was lovely!
I highly recommend John for anyone who needs any help with anything Maths related!
