About Maria
I’m a First-Class MSci Biochemistry graduate from Queen Mary University of London, with over 5 years of tutoring experience. I’ve worked with students of all ages—from 7 years old to A-Level students, and even first-year Biochemistry university students. I’m passionate about making Biology and Chemistry accessible and enjoyable, while helping students build the confidence they need to excel, regardless of their learning background.
I’ve also worked closely with students who are neurodivergent or dyslexic, and I tailor my approach to suit their unique learning needs.

I believe learning should be engaging and stress-free. I create a friendly, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring challenging topics. Every lesson is tailored to fit your individual learning style, whether through visual aids, hands-on practice, or real-world examples. My goal is to make sure you understand the material and feel confident going into your exams.
I focus on active learning, where you’ll work through problems, receive real-time feedback, and see progress every week. Together, we’ll make sure you’re fully prepared to succeed.

Maria has been tutoring my daughter for the past three years, from her GCSEs up to her A-levels. She has been incredibly understanding and patient, breaking down each concept to a level my daughter could easily grasp. Maria is exceptionally intelligent and has played a crucial role in my daughter's academic success. Her dedication and passion for teaching have truly made a difference, and I am grateful for the positive impact she has had on my daughter's education. I highly recommend Maria to anyone seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate tutor.
