About Holly
Hi, I'm Holly, a maths undergraduate at Oxford University. Mathematics is my true passion, and I love sharing it with others through tutoring. I understand that the subject can be challenging and fast-paced, so my goal is to ensure we move at a speed that you're comfortable with.
I’m chair of access and outreach for the Oxford women in maths society currently and I work as a student advisor for music in my home town so I love communicating and learning about education so tutoring for me is all about working together and figuring out how I can best help you achieve your goals. As an Oxford student I would also be more than willing to discuss university applications! Please let me know if you have any questions about this.

Mathematics is a linear subject so it’s crucial to have a strong foundation before moving on to new concepts. My tutoring style is centered around building your understanding of key mathematical ideas and boosting your confidence in applying them effectively. I focus on developing a clear understanding of the curriculum and becoming comfortable with the types of questions that frequently appear in exams. However, I'm also happy to explore topics beyond the curriculum if that interests you.
I have extensive experience in both tutoring and outreach, within and beyond mathematics. For the past three years, I have worked as a maths tutor, helping students at various levels. Additionally, I run musical outreach programs, have led multiple talks in schools about engaging with maths beyond the curriculum, and manage outreach for Oxford's Women in Mathematics Society. My diverse experience equips me to provide engaging and effective tutoring tailored to your needs.
