About Lucy
Hi, I’m Lucy! I currently work in a primary school and have experience supporting children across KS2, both in the classroom and one-to-one. I’m passionate about helping children feel confident in their abilities and creating a positive environment where they feel comfortable learning.
I particularly enjoy literacy and English, and I love seeing children develop their reading and writing skills and become proud of their progress. I’m patient, friendly and encouraging, and I understand that every child learns differently.
My experience working directly with primary-aged children means I’m familiar with the KS2 curriculum and the expectations children face at school. My goal is to make extra support feel enjoyable and rewarding rather than like more schoolwork!

My lessons are friendly, engaging and tailored to each child’s individual needs. I can support KS2 pupils with reading comprehension, creative writing, spelling, punctuation and grammar (SPaG), vocabulary and homework.
I aim to build confidence as well as ability, creating a relaxed environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Sessions will include a mixture of guided activities, practice questions, discussion and independent work, adapted to the child’s current level and schoolwork.
Whether your child needs help catching up, extra practice in a particular area, or simply a confidence boost, I’ll work at their pace and make sessions positive and encouraging.
