About Matt
I am a secondary science teacher and a Teach First ambassador with 5 years teaching experience up to A Level. I have a masters degree in chemistry from Durham University and have worked as a management consultant in between my time as a teacher. I have extensive experience working with UK students and the science curriculum here up to A Level. I achieved A grades in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Music at A level and have a proven track record of accelerated progress with the GCSE and A level students I have taught.

My teaching methodology is informed by cognitive science research and involves explicit teacher led instruction followed by consistent retrieval practice to promote long term memory acquisition. I focus on a knowledge rich curriculum and will provide opportunities for repeated practice to consolidate learning.
