About Vraj
Hello! My name is Vrajesh, and I'm an aerospace engineer based in Montreal.
I hold a bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, and for the past four years I have worked in the aviation industry, where I lead a team of engineers on aircraft systems projects. Every day, I use the math, physics and chemistry that high school students are learning right now, so I know exactly why these subjects matter and how to make them come alive.
Teaching has always been a passion of mine. For two years, I worked as a STEM tutor, helping high school students strengthen their foundations, improve their grades and, most importantly, believe in their own abilities. Seeing a student go from "I don't get it" to "Oh, that's easy!" is the most rewarding part of what I do.
As a tutor, I am:
- **Patient and encouraging:** there are no silly questions, and every student learns at their own pace.
- **Organized and reliable:** every lesson is prepared in advance, and I always keep my commitments.
- **Results-focused:** I set clear goals with each student and track their progress, so both students and parents can see real improvement.
- **Approachable:** I keep lessons friendly and relaxed, because students learn best when they feel comfortable.
Whether your child needs help catching up, wants to get ahead, or is preparing for an important exam, I'm here to help them succeed with confidence.
I look forward to working with you!

**My teaching approach**
I'm an aerospace engineer, so I use maths, physics and chemistry every day to solve real problems. I teach the same way: first we understand *why* a concept works, then *how* to apply it. I avoid memorizing formulas without meaning. Instead, I break each topic into small, clear steps, use drawings and diagrams, and connect ideas to everyday life and to how airplanes actually fly. For example, I explain forces through lift and thrust, and chemical reactions through jet fuel combustion.
I adapt to each student's pace and learning style. I ask questions rather than just giving answers, so students learn to reason through problems on their own and build real confidence.
**A typical lesson (60 minutes)**
- **Check-in (5 min):** We review homework, upcoming tests and any questions from class.
- **Concept review (15 min):** I explain the key idea simply, with visuals and real-world examples.
- **Guided practice (20 min):** We solve problems together, step by step, and I show common mistakes to avoid.
- **Independent practice (15 min):** The student solves problems alone while I give feedback.
- **Wrap-up (5 min):** We summarize what was learned and I suggest a few exercises for the next session.
Before exams, sessions focus on past exams, timed practice and test-taking strategies.
**What sets me apart**
- I'm a practising aerospace engineer, so I show students where science is used in the real world, which makes it more interesting and easier to remember.
- I have 2 years of experience as a STEM tutor, helping students of different levels improve their grades and confidence.
- I teach all three subjects, so I can show how maths, physics and chemistry connect, which helps students in every science class.
- I'm patient, structured and focused on understanding, not just getting the right answer.
**Who the lessons are for**
- High school students (Secondary 1 to 5) in Montreal
- Mathematics: all Quebec streams (CST, TS and SN)
- Science and Technology (Sec 3–4), Physics and Chemistry (Sec 5)
- Students who are struggling and need to catch up, students who want to get ahead, and students preparing for ministry exams or CEGEP admission
- Lessons are tailored to each student's school curriculum and goals
