About Stacy

Having taught 26 years in multiple environments, as well as a multitude of grade levels and subjects, the one thing I have learned is I absolutely love learning and sharing that with others. I have taught from kindergarten, elementary, upper elementary, middle school, high school, and even university students. My strengths are in English, middle school and below math, middle school and below science. I am a history major and have loved teaching from before humans to today’s events. I have also had many years experience working with newcomer English learners as well as English learners who have been exposed to American schools. And I have always worked with students who have educational needs, even when I was a student teacher in college. I earned a master’s degree in general education curriculum as well as a TESOL endorsement on my bachelor’s degree of education: elementary ed (grades 1-8), and secondary history (grades 7-12).

About the lesson

I enjoy finding lessons that will help you best understand the topic at hand. My special skill is finding how to work with your brain. Everyone learns differently and just need to find how you learn. Learning how to deal with anxiety with lessons or testing is another skill I emphasize with my learners.
