About Jerilyn
I have been teaching SAT and ACT mastery for 18 years. I use a holistic approach and focus on academics where necessary, test-specific strategies for each type of question, and mental acuity (maintaining focus, reducing anxiety).
I work in a straightforward manner, assigning a full-length test before each session, then reviewing with the student the incorrect answers. I teach shortcuts and tips and ways to view and approach each problem, and the student walks away with a deeper understanding of how to get a better score next time.

About the lesson

I like to know a student's starting scores for both the SAT and ACT so we know from the beginning which test is the better fit. I send links for each, which the student can take at home. On completion, we review and compare scores, and I make a recommendation as to which test to take.
We then decide on two test dates close to each other and set appointments leading right up to the week before the first exam. We meet weekly, typically for 2 hours, but that depends on the student's starting score.
We assess as we go, as the student takes weekly exams.
