About Felix
Hi! My name is Felix Karthik, and I'm a rising sophomore at Northwestern University's Honors Program in Medical Education starting this fall 2019. After scoring a 35 on the ACT with a 10 on the essay, a 790 on SAT1 Math and 800 on the SAT Math 2 Subject test, and taking countless practice tests, I believe that you can succeed with hard work and dedication. In our sessions, we will target and address your weaknesses based on the real ACT practice tests you take outside our sessions to increase your score as quickly as possible. I love working with younger students and helping them academically because of the learning process. I get the chance to see where a student starts and then where that student ends due to the learning process the student goes through. It is an amazing opportunity to find out about different students' learning styles and how to personalize teaching for each and every individual.
I've been working as a tutor at Kumon where I get to teach kids ranging from ages 3-18 in math and reading. So, whether it's teaching one student how to read and count or teaching another student how to take derivatives and solve integrals, I can take a concept that may seem complicated to a student and make it easier to understand.

I will first try to get to know the student and understand what his/her learning style is like. Also, I'll learn what the student's strengths and weaknesses are with the ACT through a diagnostic test. Once I know this student as a person and find out how I can be of help to him/her, then I will dive in to target the student's weaknesses to quickly improve his/her score.
