About Brian
U.S. Marine studying in Applied Mathematics at American Military University. I am an Aircraft Mechanic and Aviation Ordnance Technician instructor at NAS Pensacola, Florida with four deployments. My post-military career vision is to be a school teacher for Mathematics! Tech-savvy and patience are key to online tutoring, so I definitely fit right in.
There is a very powerful and unforgettable feeling when that lightbulb shines bright when teaching anyone anything. Whether it is something completely new, or material someone just cannot grasp, when they finally understand it, a road of indefinite possibilities opens up!
I request to instruct at NAS Pensacola because of the experiences I have been put in throughout my military career. Clear and concise guidance, along with patience and integrity, have made clear that I have a natural act to teach.
I am currently studying Applied Mathematics at American Military University, while also instructing students at NAS Pensacola, Florida as an Aviation Ordnance Technician and Aircraft Mechanic.

I tend to engage with the student about what they already understand. This helps identify their thought process in how they are learning the material. Creating that baseline guides us both into a clear direction into new or complicated equations and problem-solving techniques.
I have worked with adult students from ages 17-25 at NAS Pensacola. Given that they are military students, I can say that it is very easy to teach with little distraction.
Be open-minded! Usually, when we struggle, we easily get a sour taste in our mouths about the entire subject. This leads to wanting to give up or not give it your best shot. Also, be sure to take a break when you get stumped, pushing yourself while flustered makes it harder to understand what is being taught.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Try to find out where you truly struggle. If it is too vague of an issue, that can lead to instructions being repeated that you may not need, leading to wasted brainpower, and efforts being made to the wrong areas.

Details
I do not standardize pricing. My main concern is helping students understand and appreciate math a little more than before. I can easily communicate with the student about what price works best for them, given we all come from different walks of life.
