About Joshua
I practice Archery as a form of moving meditation, the stillness and focus needed to hit the target are qualities of mind that benefit every aspect of life.
I enjoy sharing my years of experience and passion with like minded people from all walks of life! Archery is timeless, it's both anchent and new and if it speaks to you, it seems to resonated at a deep personal level. As a teacher, I find it very rewarding to help people discover the essence of archery and seeing them make it their own.
Shortly after I recieved my Level 1 certification I was asked to teach a summer archery program for at risk youth.
This was both extremely challenging and rewarding, it officially sent me down the path to continue teaching.
In 2003 I obtained my level 2 certification in Los Angeles CA. While I am primarily a traditional archery enthusiast I enjoy every aspect and incarnation of archery, I have since specialized in longbow, recurve, and ILF trad.

A usual class for a new student would begin with introductions, an equipment inventory and related safety information.
A Q and A session to determine the students desired results and expectations. This is normally followed by an evaluation of the students skill set and understanding of key attributes.
I've worked with children as young as 3 and adults well into maturity
Find someone you enjoy learning with, no matter what you're studying, it should be fun. If you can't laugh with them then at least find someone who's philosophy inspires you.
