About Coach
I don't know how to stand out with all these other coaches with all these super credentials, I've only been coaching baseball for 29 years. I fell in love in coaching baseball at 19 years old when I was brand new in the air force. They gave me all the 9/10 year old misfits that no other coach wanted from the tryouts that they didn't invite me to. Our 1st year, we went 5-5 and the second year we went 10-0 with every kid playing but we never played more than 4 innings... mercy rule. Smart and fast.
I thing I believe in is practice and practice more than you play. To be good, a kid must learn the basics, once they learn the basics - they'll develop their own baseball swag.
I like teaching fielding from infield to outfield... I stand by we can win a game 1-0 or 20- zip. Pitchers throw strikes, fielders make the plays on batted balls.
The last 5 years... I've moved from the summers with kids to coaching high school baseball, don't get me wrong, I'm still working with kids in the summers with the many alliances I've made and continue to make with coaches.
I don't need all these high tech devices to teach a kid baseball... baseball ain't played with a computer, just a bat, ball and glove. Heck we don't even need a field, any park or backyard will do and even indoors but I like being outdoors... that's where baseball is played mostly so heat, cold, rain, sun come into play often. I know I know is... the best prepared will typically win. We practice when they aren't.
I fell in love with the game of baseball at early age of 6, which gives me 42 years of being around baseball.
I know parents can't spend hours and hours playing catch, rolling grounders and pop flies... that where you need Coach Hodge.
Just hit me up and let's get it in.
Watching a kid finally get it... especially something that they didn't think they could do. The sparkle in their eye is all it took to keep me coming back and continues to to this day.

Kids are always calling me to play catch or hit some fungus. My time is valuable. Just talking about life is worth 100s, 1000s per hour😁
I've been around the game of baseball for 42 years (I was 6 years old when 1st started playing and it was love at 1st sight). I've been coaching since I was 19 while I was in the United States Air Force. And I'm still learning the game from other coaches and players.
And... my belief is a well placed fastball is the best pitch in the sport. The more pitches you see the better hitter you're gonna be and the more balls you field determines how of a defender you'll be.
It's all just reps. I help you get what you want, but you gotta put in the work.
