About Thomas
Hello! My name is Thomas. I'm a recent graduate from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where I studied Geography and Environmental Systems. I have always had a passion for science and teaching, and I worked as a tutor for three years for the Learning Resources Center in college. I tutored introductory Biology, Environmental Science, and writing. I have had great results in the past using analogy to convey scientific concepts. I am currently in graduate school at the University of Hawai'i to continue my research in fungal ecology that I began at the Smithsonian. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions!
Update: I have finished my Masters at the University of Hawai'i (Ecology), and am back in Maryland!

I love to inspire enthusiasm and curiosity for natural history and ecology!
I have always found myself in teaching roles, as I find it fun to share my knowledge with others.
I have been a tutor for three years, focusing on helping students with writing, Biology, and Environmental Science. I am well-versed in Geographic Information Systems, plant identification, molecular techniques, and many other biological/ecological skills. I am going to graduate school to continue my work in plant ecology, so this is my strongest field.
