About Samantha
I'm the oldest in my family, and I have two younger siblings, so a teaching role has always come rather naturally to me. I began tutoring for money though when I attended University of Idaho and have continued while attending Boise State University. I also worked with my peers to understand esoteric calculus material, and that was another push to understanding instead of memorizing materials.
I am currently working towards my bachelor's degree in chemistry at Boise State University and will graduate Spring 2022. I have now tutored three students in chemistry and been able to walk them through difficult to comprehend subject matter. Chemistry isn't easy, but that doesn't mean it can't be fun.

I like to find a common sense of humor, as well as figuring out how a student learns best. If they would prefer to be more serious, then I adjust to what helps them. But, I believe that chemistry should be fun, because memorizing doesn't actually lead to learning. When the student is able to articulate it to another successfully, that's when I know they've taken in the information.
I've worked with both college and high school students.
Look for someone who is passionate about what they do and who is willing to push you to your fullest potential.
I really enjoy cooking when I have time, and I've grown fond of making homemade enchiladas verdes sauce and roasted tomato sauce. It's fun using my chemistry skills to perfect the food I cook.
