I have been dancing with Tropical Rhythms for 15 years now ever since I was 5 years old. Neni has always been a very patient and caring dance instructor to all her students, and is extremely knowledgeable in the art of hula dancing. It has been a great pleasure to have grown with Tropical Rhythms in graceful hula dancing, but most importantly, growing in self-confidence.

Such a wonderful and beautiful experience! I learned many dances and techniques of hula. Getting to dress up with beautiful colors was so fun. Performing hula in front of an audience turned me from a shy little girl to a woman who loves to dance.

I’m a business woman and pretty busy but love to dance and Neni always accommodates me with my busy schedule and will do other ways so I can dance , either by sending the video that I can practice at home or change the schedule practice . I love her as my Hula teacher , she is so passionate and a very nice person .

The troupe has a vast repertoire of dances and wide array of performance ensembles. I learned so many routines and have enjoyed performing with the group. It isn't just a dance group, it is family. It has been a pleasure working with Neni and Tropical Rhythms for almost twenty years. Her teaching has allowed many dancers over the years to progress from beginner to amateur and professional. Her shows are informative, exciting and educational. Neni has helped me develop my ukulele, voice and hula talents and showcase them in venues of both small and large audiences.

Tropical Rhythms Hula Dance Troupe has taught me how to be confident in myself, and be able to be a better dancer. The other dancers and I have a strong bond with each other. We have gotten close as time went by and the group truly felt like a second family to me. Tropical Rhythms not only taught me how to hula dance but they also taught me what it means to be a hula dancer, and the culture surrounding the dance. I love working in Tropical Rhythms because not only do we dance/ perform but we also make people smile, and make their day better!

I have known Neni for more than 20 years and have been dancing with her group... she is an awesome teacher, kind patience and loyal... she brings out the best in each dancer.
