The class focused on drawing hands and feet from observation and then bringing them together to compose a large portrait. I enjoyed the fact that, you could shape your hands and feet in different ways based on your own desire. This made each piece unique and have its own sense of character. Using charcoal as a median was also an exciting new utensil i learned how to use. The art class provided a new angle on how to go about an artwork and i would highly recommend it to those who wish to develop there art skills.

The drawing and painting from observation lesson with Narelle was so much fun. I got to learn many new skills and work with a new medium. We worked with charcoal and drew our hands and feet in different positions. We then put it all together to create an imaginative creature. I learned how to blend to create shadows and highlights to achieve more realistic effects. The lesson was great for people of all abilities and fun to do with family or friends. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to develop their art skills.

Narelle is one of my favorite teachers of all time ! I had drawing classes with her before and she was always inspiring and gave me many different "perspectives" that push me out of my comfort zone. Not only my skills has improved but also the way of observing / perceiving has expanded. I really enjoyed the process !

The lesson provided me opportunities to explore shapes and forms of objects and human bodies, including volume and color study. The class has a lot of freedom to study what we want to focus on, and I learned plenty from observing as an artist and playing with different medium. The instructor was patient and gave some extremely helpful guidance. Strongly recommended!!
