About Kirsten
I can come to you any day of the week. I provide proficiency tests to see how much tutoring your child needs--they don't waste time and you don't waste money!
I'm passionate about English, and kids should be too! I love the excitement a kid feels when they finally truly understand something. I've worked with kids for a long time and they never fail to amaze me!
I have a degree in English from Trinity University. I have taught writing and English at the college through middle school levels. I have over six years of experience working with kids aged K-12.

First, we discuss as a group what you are seeking help with, then I speak with the child alone to see how they feel and what they need work in. Next, I do a simple proficiency test with the child to see where they truly stand. From there, I like to form a timeline for improvement.
During sessions, I like to help the childwith their homework but also do prepared lessons in their specific need areas.
