About Kailey
After graduating from the University of Michigan, I taught reading and writing in Baltimore City Public schools while working towards a master of science in education at Johns Hopkins University. I have experience teaching explanatory, opinion, and narrative writing.
I have taught to following to over 150 students:

1) Initial meeting to discuss student's specific reading and writing goals and/or challenges, a timeline, a meeting schedule, and an hourly rate.
2) Instruction with students will include tailored sessions to target each student's needs. As per the gradual release teaching model, I may model a specific reading/writing skill and then help the student through the process so they can succed on their own. Instruction can include modifications, accommodations, and culturally relevant examples as needed.
I have worked with over 200 students in the past two years with many different learning styles and needs.
An instructor that listens to your needs and adjusts accordingly can make a huge difference!
