About Sameet
Hi! I'm Sameet!
I love reading and writing; I'm eager to share the joy of both activities with my students.
I do my best to get to know my students and understand what teaching style and materials will be most productive for them.
I've taught across cultures and age groups.
I give each of my students the attention, patience, and kindness they deserve.
I hope to not only improve my students' written and spoken English but also to help them see the fun and discovery that is possible along the way.
I enjoy connecting with my students and seeing what makes them tick, what it is that they strive for. I love the moments when I really get through to them and I see the wheels turning in their brains. I also love, over the months and years that we work together, seeing the small and big improvements in their work!
I love how this work reminds me that each of us think differently-- my students keep me in touch with fresh and exciting perspectives.

When I'm working with a new student, I like to start by getting to know them (their interests, goals, quirks). From there, I can start to understand what teaching style and materials will be most useful to them, and we can have a conversation about what they hope to accomplish with my help.
Usually, I like to keep the first session informal and conversational. We talk about plans for our future sessions and the areas in which they hope to improve the most.
