About Cassandra
I have been an online tutor for over seven years. My educational background is in Educational Psychology and Instructional Design. My goal is to help students overcome obstacles that may hinder learning new material I use the learning strategy R2D2 (read, reflect, display and do)with hands-on and real world activities. This encourages students to use prior knowledge and problem solve to understand new material.
I use my understanding of learning requirements (attention, retention, memory and prior knowledge) to breakdown learning material for individualized learning. I enjoy evaluate students' needs and researching additional learning resources to help student get a better understanding.

I have an MS in Educational Psychology that affords me the ability to understand learning theories as well as an MS in Instuctional Design and Development to assist with breaking down content with learning strategies.
